Do you host school workshops?!

Yes!

We offer mobile in-school and virtual workshops for all age groups, grades and dance backgrounds!

We cater our workshops to meet every teachers dance curriculum goals and end each workshop with kids performances for their class that can be graded by teachers for final dance/report card grades, etc!

Do you do community events?

Yes!

We can be booked for dance performances, gigs, mobile dance workshops, teaching dance classes and more! Just send us an email!

When do you do GDAC online workshops? When is the next one?

GDAC strives to make dance accessible for all and therefore, we offer an online dance class FREE to everyone of all levels once a month!

We showcase a new instructors talent and artsmanship at every online class we host! All online workshop info can be found on the "online workshops" page and on our Instagram: @give.danceachance!!

How do I apply to be an Instructor at your next workshop?

Our next workshop will be at the beginning of August! Our Instructor applications are out right now on the "instructors" page! This form will only be open until June 12th at midnight!

If a class fills up but I want to take it, will there be a waitlist?

No. When classes fill up they will close. 

When one of our workshop classes is full, we will close the class in the registration form and announce it on social media. 

If for some reason an attendee can't make the workshop, we will inform everyone via Instagram and update the registration form immediately so that the class has spots open again temporarily!

How long do I have to pay for my classes after I receive a registration confirmation email?

You have 72 hours after you receive a registration confirmation email to pay the total amount detailed in the email (at minimum).

Make sure you send your e-transfer to the correct email sent to you from our team! Double, triple check!!

What if I can't e-transfer?

That's okay! Don't stress.

Just let us know in your reply to our confirmation email that you're unable to pay the online e-transfer and we can chat about a more accessible way for you to pay for your class spots! :)

What does it mean to "pay what you can?"

Our "pay what you can" model allows us to provide financially accessible dance to adult dancers in Ottawa.

The MINIMUM payment of $8 per class is in place at ALL of our workshops so we can continue running.

If you're able to give more than the $8 minimum, we encourage and appreciate the help making dance more widely accessible and inclusive to all!

When should I arrive to the class I signed up for?

We suggest you arrive to your class(es) at GDAC at least 10-15 minutes before it starts.

This gives you enough time to sign in at our check-in table, receive your name tag, and find a spot on the dance floor!

Are spectators allowed to come and watch?

No.

We will only be allowing pre-paid dancer attendees to enter the studio spaces that are booked for this event, due to limited space in the venue. 

However, at the end of each class in the last 10 minutes we open the studio doors so all dancers in the venue at that time can circle in to watch the final product combo of each class and support eachother!

Is there FREE food at GDAC workshops?

Yes! 

We have a snacks table available for all our dancers to partake in throughout our workshops.

During our "Community Dance & Mingle" at the end of our workshops, we also provide desserts and non-alcoholic beverages to all attendees!

How do I purchase GDAC merch?

Check out the "Merchandise" page on our website for all the info about the upcoming workshop on May 24th for pre-orders, etc.
